Jackson is a Multi-disciplinary Designer, Concept Director, and Producer. His interests lie in the hidden truths that can be revealed through the investigation of human ecologies. Utilizing design thinking and grounded research, he informs his decisions in a derivative language of design.

From Endless Ladder






Heliose is the first real-time solar marketplace, cutting out the demanding salesperson and putting the power of satellite imaging system-design into the hands of the user with quotes from local installers in less than two minutes.


Concierge


Feature development for a virtual consultation with a solar advisor to answer lingering questions or concerns. This functionality is accessible throughout the site and the information gathered dynamically updates the user’s personal information profile to aggregate quotes.


Need Help Sticky


“Need Help?” interactive is dynamically positioned throughout the site and tip information changes based on the content matter in view on the page.

We applied animations to the screens “in-between” to add a bit of warmth and personality.



Concept


System Design and Comparable Quotes


We were tasked with concepting and developing version 2 of the System Designer. This included detailing batteries, federal incentives, a satellite image of the users roof schematic, the relevant CTAs, savings details, and surfacing real-time quotes from local installers.


UI





Our team developed interfaces by adhering to a set of established brand guidelines. We needed to own whitespace and get comfortable with simplicity. Our vision was inspired by:

Component Design  



We researched price benchmarking from sites like Cars.com and Booking.com. Our system now calculates the average quote price and standard deviation to badge what quote includes the best deal.
